Final post about the mid-term of Current Issues in Teaching course.
The strengths that this course have provided us with so far are that it introduces varieties of tools and activities related to the use of advanced technologies and teaching strategies we can implement in our upcoming classes when we become a teacher. But we lacked the actual materials mentioned in the course for practical use so this could be accounted as a weakness. Writing blogs was easy as always, but task and lesson plan preparations can be mentioned as more difficult. My favourite task was the AI Integrated teaching material. My least favourite one was the Flipped Classroom one as it took too much of our time. My suggestion for improvement would be instruction of beneficial websites more for the use of tasks like these. To the students who will take this course next year, I would tell them to be familiar with preparing lesson plans and websites like Canva or the use of AI like ChatGPT to assist them in their learning and task preparation.
